1)   Enjoying life

 

Then, Harvie decided to turn his world upside down and back to front. What did he do?

He was declared sterile so they adopted a little boy / little girl who had no legs / no hands / no ears. But at school she excelled / failed. She went to University / hospital and became a nurse / a lawyer. She moved to America / Africa and championned the rights of the disabled / the animals.


Harvey and Val were extremely proud, but Val died.

 

2)  Loneliness and senility

 

Harvie became a hermit and stopped drinking / washing / drinking.

He went to a nursing home when someone saw him trying to wash clothes / withdraw money / brush his teeth with the toilet brush / microwave / washing machine.

 


He shared his room with Avish who

 

-          hated spiders

-          looked like he was housing a family of spiders

-          was 94 years old

-          was 84 years old

-          had burnt his hair trying to answer the phone

-          had burnt his ear, trying to answer the iron.


 

At the house, they would often organize dancing parties / get drunk / get into fights.

One day, Harvie was found playing / singing / naked in the corridor. From then on he was to stay in his room / clothed / silent at all time.

 

One night he wanted to end things but he met Wilma.

She had a cancer in her goiter and so she was embarrassed to leave her room during the day. She was waiting for the bus / her family / death to hurry up. Then, Harvie realized he had some more work / things / exercises to do. Not Wilma:

 


-          he put on some clothes

-          he put off his clothes

-          he spat at the directors son

-          he sat in the morning sun

-          he smiled

-          he sang

-          he laughed

-          he waited for the bus
