When the five women were sitting around Bree's living room table, Mrs Van de Camp starts talking:
"I have to announce to you something. I am so embarrassed. Rex... it is very hard to admit it... Rex wants a divorce."
There was a long silence before Susan speaks:
"Honey, that is so terrible news! How could he want to divorce? You are the perfect wife! I am fed up with men who don't know the chance they have to be married with excellent women! And what about the kids? Has he thought of them? They can't be raised without their parents together!"
"they are not sad, Bree replies. Andrew is happy and wants to live with Rex. He says he can't stand me and my cuisine anymore."
"I understand him, Eddie says. I mean, you are a good mother, but you are too obsessive. Andrew may prefer eating the same things as his friends and Daniele might want to be herself without being afraid of not being what you want her to be. You should let your children live their life more freely. I have advised you to make pauses sometimes but nobody listen to me!"
"This is not the moment, Eddie, to speak this way., Gabrielle says in a low voice. Bree needs our help."
She looks at Bree and tells her:
"My dear, i thing you may need to go shopping. trust me, I know what I am talking about. I can help you to find sexier clothes. Listen: if you have had sexy clothes, Rex wouldn't have asked a divorce. it is a key of strong couple."
"Don't be ridiculous, Gaby. Eddie says. Bree wants a revange, don't you? I will help you to kill Rex. You should let your anger express."
Lynette looks at Eddie and says sharply: "Stop talking nonsense! Bree, don't worry, we will help you. I could look after the kids, if you want. But in my opinion, you should find a job, it would make you think about something else."
"You are so sweet. I am lucky to have friends like you. I might find a job, you are right Lynette. I can't bear being at home anymore. Nevertheless, I can't believe Rex is doing that to me...."
Susan takes her hand:
"Sweety, he can't leave you. He will come back to you."
"I hope you are right..."
Bree looks at her friends and smiles shyly.
